I think it was a dirty start switch , sorry it was a long time ago, I've had 20 more motorcycles since...
This was a long time ago but (if I'm not mistaking) it was indeed that climate control unit that got kicked in by the kid sitting in the back child seat and pushed the button in. I disconnected it and it was fine after.
I was just quoted $2800 for upper&lower front control arms on a C7 A6 -having done it on my C6, it seems a little steep but probably audi parts which I didn't use last time
That's a little steep, I charge $2k for upper, lower and ball joints....parts and labor.
why would I have to replace pads if the rotors warp? you said, "you'll have to replace the whole thing" - just curious
If you look at the surface of the rotor you'll notice it's not smooth, it's quite scored and not a flat surface. If you install new pads on these wavy rotors you will have a flat surface pad riding on a wavy surface rotor. Eventually the pad and rotor will wear each other to a new pattern...but not flat. Now lets say the rotors warp and you have to replace them anyway but you want to re-use the pads ...... you'll have a wavy pad riding on a flat rotor.... they will wear each other again eventually but not flat. So my point is if you put new pads and new rotors both surfaces will be flat and they are likely to wear each other flat. This gives you a higher chance of being able to reuse that rotor when the pads are done because it will likely stay flat. Does that make sense?

switch for starting is higher up in pedal, that is brake switch and clutch switch for position of clutch for cruise control

Looks like a lot carbon build up...This car should accelerate much quicker even it was 2nd gear...Clean all ports and put some injector cleaner you will feel the difference..
This was not full throttle, we were chasing a throttle body issue and basically wanted to show the car revving over 6k rpm but not red lining it. This was after carbon cleaning, again i was not flooring it nor redlining it, this was just part throttle to check for an EPC light and limp mode. How do you spin the engine on this motor? I have a 2012 q5 and I cant seem to figure it out
Put a 24mm socket on the crank bolt and turn it clockwise.
@@kinderutz I decided to just move forward with the piston soak without cranking. So far after 3 days of driving I have not seen any white puffs of smoke behind the car.
Also i should correct myself....i dont know if its a bent valve or a burnt valve or a problem qith the valve seat....all I know is that one or more valves are not sealing correctly.
Compression test was fine, could hold cylinder pressure on thr up stroke but leaked under vacuum under downstroke....also a lack of vacuum in the crankcase

This car burnt 1qt of oil in just 80 miles, it was smoking out of the exhaust on throttle....had stuck rings. This fixed it, customer drove it 700 miles and hasn't had to top off the oil at all.

The whining sound is noticable at mine 3.0 tfsi. Was it by yours also? Was is there at low rpm? At mine it is gone when higher revs or at stationairy

Flip-up helmets are not full face, there's always a risk of losing the front face module. Tapping the chin of your helmet tells you nothing. The truth is, in case of an accident or if you fall off your motorbike high likely you'll get injured, doesn't matter which helmet are you wearing, any biker knows it.

Stop wasting time and money with helmets and nonsense videos. Just think... have you seen any motorcycle racer wearing flip-up helmets at any race or anywhere while competing? Take your own conclusions
How common are those fuel injectors going bad after an intake gasket replacement? Just did mine and now miss fires on cylinder 2 and 4, any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
I had the same problem on my 02 A6 After replacing the the center support no luck took a chance and replaced with used shaft and fixed the issue

I just changed the exhaust to my vtx 1800 and the original has a hole where was hooked up a sensor but the new cobra exhaust doesn’t have that hole, what can I do? Just zip tie the sensor by under the sit for now but what do you recommend?

You Sir Audi are a true legend. My bolt snapped the same way and I was just about to spend next 6 weeks drilling it out when I came across your incredible smart completely thinking out of the box idea. I used 17 spanner as a spacer on the bolt put the nut start tightening it and that rusty bastard popped out in less than 2 minutes !!! Thank you, your parents should be proud of you.
My Passenger side cover is leaking, the driver side was re- seal by the previous owner...I tried to remove the heat shield but it was hard...A6 2012.. did you fix this? I am thinking about taking her to a shop.. I recently fix the valve cover gasket and VVTs o rings too
so much sadness. i need to watch a disney movie now to balance that out.
ITS A KNOWN PROBLEM (PVC) VALVE JUST REPLACE IT AND IT WILL SOLVE THE PROBLEM
